Vita

Since 2008 I´m an independent museum professional and cultural manager and a freelancer for projekt2508 Group. I work in and for a vast array of projects, from small local ones up to international networks. I´m a board member of ICOM Germany, mentor for young museum professionals and active at the German Cultural Council. 2017/2018 I hold a scholarship of the LEAD Academy, Berlin.

My professional career started at the Universities of Tuebingen/Germany and Bergen/Norway, where I studied archaeology, empirical cultural studies, pedagogics and sociology. During that time, I took part in excavations in England, Hungary, Germany, Turkey and Panama and started my first projects in the museum field. After graduation in 2005 (Master of Arts), I completed a two-year traineeship as a museum consultant and curator at the Rhineland Regional Council and concurrently studied cultural management at the Institute for Cultural Management at the PH Ludwigsburg/Germany.

In 2016, I submitted my PhD thesis in museum studies at the Ludwig-Uhland-Institute for Empirical Cultural Studies at the University of Tuebingen, Germany on the Rhenish Museum/House of the Rhenish Homeland 1925-1956. The publication is in preparation.
