The European network of museums and visitor centres at ice age heritage sites officially started working in January 2013. Lead partner of the cooperation is the Neanderthal Museum Foundation.
As Head of the Project Office I am and responsible for the project coordination, internal and external communication as well as the general management including funding issues.
I´m currently working on my thesis in museum studies, which is looking at the "Haus der Rheinischen Heimat" of Cologne and as a possible model museum of the 1920s.
It is supervised by Prof. Dr. Gottfried Korff of
the Ludwig-Uhland-Institute for Empirical Cultural Science at the University of Tuebingen/
Germany.
In 2013, the state exhibition of Hesse EXPEDITION
GRIMM takes place.
Among many other offers for visitors, a detailed brochure has been published with information about the exhibition as well as practical
information on visiting the exhibition and the city of Kassel with schools and groups. The centerpiece is a table showing the various educational offers for preschool and school groups of all ages as well as teaching modules
and materials designed to prepare for the visits of the exhibition as well as strengthen their
connection to the school curricula.
I have been responsible for the overall
concept and realization of this booklet.
The Projekt2508 Group is developing an action plan for the preservation and touristic development of the Roman Villa Wittlich.
As a team member I am responsible for all archaeological issues in coordination with the heritage
organisations as well as the development of suitable measures and actions consistent
with the preservation of the monument and its surroundings.
